Eminem has begun legal proceedings against Apple Computer Inc. claiming that the company doesn’t have the permission to make his songs available for digital download.
The lawsuit, which was filed in a US District Court in Detroit on Monday (July 30th) by Eminem's publisher, Eight Mile Style, and copyright manager, Martin Affiliated, is demanding that Apple remove the songs from their online iTunes store.
According to The Detroit Newss, the complaint states that "Eight Mile and Martin have demanded that Apple cease and desist its reproduction and distribution and Apple has refused."
It’s not the first time the rapper has taken action against Apple Computer Inc. In 2004 he attempted to sue the company for $10 million over his track ‘Lose Yourself’ - which was used as part of Apple’s advertising. The advert never emerged.
