Film actor Sir Michael Caine has announced plans to release a chill-out album this coming September.
The actor – who has appeared in films such as ‘The Italian Job’ and ‘Austin Powers in Goldmember’ – has compiled some of his favourite chill-out classics for the album, entitled, ‘Cained,’
Caine has revealed that he came up for the idea whilst having a meal at Sir Elton John’s home in Nice, in France.
PA reports that Caine was able to list all of the ambient tracks that Sir Elton was playing in the background while they were eating.
The actor said about the project: "I've loved this type of music for years, and have literally hundreds of CDs. I've been buying them for about 15 years, and really know my way around.”
He added: "About 10 years ago I started making my own compilations. I've always been interested in music, and over the years have made literally thousands of tapes. And with chill-out I suppose I finally found my forte."
'Cained' will feature tracks by Chicane and Felix Da Housecat.
