Snow Patrol keyboardist Tom Simpson has failed to appear in court on drugs possession charges.
Simpson was expected to attend the hearing in Glasgow today after being told earlier this month that he must appear in court on July 31.
The case has no been continued by Glasgow Sheriif Court for a further three weeks without plea at the request of Simpson’s lawyer.
Simpson along with his co-accused Colin Kennedy are charged with possession of cocaine in Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow, on June 24, 2006.
The case will now resume on August 28, a week after Snow Patrol appear at this summer’s V Festival.
