Sigur Ros will release an album soundtrack containing new material on November 5th that accompanies a concert DVD shot in their native Iceland last year.
'Hvarf-Heim' will be split into two sections, with the first half containing three unreleased tracks and a re-worked version of ‘Von’ – which appeared on the band’s debut album.
The second half of the compilation will include acoustic versions of songs taken from the bands four studio albums.
The release of the soundtrack will coincide with the release of ‘Heima.’ The DVD compromises of clips from the bands shows in Iceland last year.
Sigur Ros drummer, Orri Páll Dýrason told NME about the film: "It was good to film it in our home country, sometimes we were playing these big show and then we were playing in those really small fields, which was beautiful.”
He added: "It was fun doing those, shows, especially in front of our friends. Really nice."
