Gigwise has got a great exclusive for you today in the form of Julian Temple’s video for the new single from The Flies, ‘High’.
The promo is Temple’s first directorial role since the release of his movie’ Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten’.
It was filmed under London’s Westway and saw Flies main man Sean Cook immerse himself in 6ft vat of red paint, vegetable oil and cold water for over three hours.
Apparently when Cook, who played bass in Spiritualized and was the singer in Lupine Howl, emerged from the vat he was in the early stages of hypothermia.
You can watch the video by going here, the single is released on September 3 via NoCarbon Records and will be followed by a rare live performance at London’s ICA on September 11.
