Queen guitarist Brian May is closing in on his doctorate for Astrophysics – over thirty years before he began the course at Imperial College, in London.
May is currently completing his course on Spain’s Canary Islands where he is conducting astronomical observations, reports Reuters.
Writing on his Website May joked: "Maybe you'd like to see the Telescope we are working in,” before adding – in reference to Queen’s lyrics – “Galileo ... Galileo ... how full of coincidences life is."
The Queen guitarist was studying astrophysics before he dropped out to form Queen alongside Freddie Mercury in 1970.
May will have to wait until next year to get his hands on his PHD.
