Alicia Keys has revealed that she hopes to go into the studio with The White Stripes in the near future.
Speaking at a preview for her forthcoming album, the R&B star admitted that time constraints had prevented the two acts from working together already.
She said: “I'm dying to work with them. Me and The White Stripes are going to do something crazy. We tried to work something out for this record, but the timing got a little crazy and it didn't come off. I know we can do something next time around."
According to the NME, Keys said that she was a big fan of The White Stripes new album, ‘Icky Thump’ and that she would also like to work with Queens Of The Stone Age in the future.
"I'm dying to work with Queens Of The Stone Age too,” said Keys. “Both bands have a very simple approach to music, but it has a soul to it that I totally get. If we did something together, it would be incredible."
Meanwhile, Alicia Keys will release her new album 'As I Am' – which has seen her collaborate with Linda Perry and John Mayer - this coming Novemeber.
