Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke has become the latest high profile star to join the Big Ask virtual march.
As previously reported, the march is part of Friends Of The Earth’s campaign to try and force the Government to pass a stronger climate change law. Current members to the online petition include Razorlight’s Johnny Borrell and The Holloways.
In Yorke’s campaign video he urges people to sign up to the campaign in order “to remind Gordon Brown that he's committed to a bill to reduce our CO2 emissions double quick time. And if he doesn't we're going to come down on him like a ton of bricks."
Anyone can sign up to the unique petition using a mobile phone clip which can then be uploaded onto video sharing site youtube.
Director of Friends Of The Earth, Tony Juniper, said earlier this month: “Friends of the Earth’s online march is a unique and fun way for people to call for action on climate change. Our survey shows that the vast majority of young people have never contacted their MP. But most want the Government to ensure that carbon dioxide emissions are cut every year.”
