Reality Star Paul Potts Slates The Enemy

Winner of ITV’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ Paul Potts has hit back at The Enemy after they accused the reality TV star of being a one hit wonder.

Potts knocked the Coventry band off the top of the album charts this weekend with his debut album, ‘One Chance,’ prompting The Enemy’s lead singer, Tom Clarke to brand the news “a ****ing disgrace. Nobody will know who this bloke is this time next year.”

Now – in what's reminiscent (almost) of an Oasis and Blur, height of Britpop rivalry – Potts has hit back angrily.

Potts told The Mirror, on hearing The Enemy’s comments: “The best is yet to come.”

He then added with more venom: “My tour starts in January and I'll be singing for the rest of my life."

What do you think of Potts’ riposte? Post a comment and let us know.

    • Enemy who? Oh, I scoff at them! I spit on their puny efforts, ptooie! I didn’t know of them before Paul--they needed to insert Pauls name into their limited vocabulary in order to get a bit of publicity, lol.

    • Never heard of Enemy but Potts - he has world recognition and being from the United States, I know here is as big as anywhere else in the world. He showed his God given talent on the US morning show ”Today” and that performance has sealed his destiny in the US market which is brutal.
