50 Cent is seeking a minimum of $1 million damages from the makers of an internet advert which used his likeness.
The rapper is suing Traffix Inc. for their ‘Shoot The Rapper’ ad, which carried the message, "shoot the Rapper and you will WIN $5,000 or 5 RINGTONES GUARANTEED”.
The lawsuit filed in New York State Court says the advertisement wasn’t just "completely unauthorized" but also "vile, tasteless and despicable" and "quite literally calls for violence against" him.
Some might say that’s a little rich coming from someone who made a film of his life called ‘Get Rich Or Die Tryin'’ and launched his own blood splattered computer game, but there we go.
