System Of A Down front man Serj Tankian is to release a new solo album in October it has been announced.
Entitled ‘Elect The Dead’ the record will be released by Serjical Strike/ Warner Bros on October 22 and is a twelve track affair.
It features appearances from former Primus drummer Bryan Mantia and Tankian’s bandmate in SOAD John Dolmayan.
In April Tankian told Billboard of the album’s themes: "There's romantic songs, love songs, pain songs... a gamut of what I was feeling in the last year-and-a-half.
"The whole album is this deep, human pain that kind of is looking for redemption."
