Yoko Ono is set to appear on the new Basement Jaxx album which is due for release in the spring of 2008.
The dance duo have been writing new material for the record recently and drafted in Ono after working with her on one of her own projects.
Felix Buxton told 6Music: “We ended up doing a couple of things, once I started listening to her stuff, I think she was miles ahead, she should be on the new album.
"I mean we haven’t finished any tracks at the moment, but we are working on new things.”
Buxton also said that the pair would love to work with Grace Jones but are finding it hard to make it happen.
“We have been trying to work with her for years, but she keeps disappearing, her manager said she was up for it before,” he said.
The album could end up being a two disc affair with a according to Buxton one album being “sound scapes” and the other “pure tracks”.
