Amy Winehouse Fans Hit Out At Star

Amy Winehouse has come under fire from a deluge of fans over her performance at the Eden Project on Tuesday night (July 17).

Gigwise has received messages from a number of fans complaining about the performance, with one saying that it was “possibly one of the most disappointing gigs I’ve ever been to - lacklustre at best, bordering on appalling.”

Wino is accused of spitting in the direction of fans shortly before she launched into the one-track finale of The Zutons cover ‘Valerie.’

One angry fan told us: “She needs help, she walked off stage during a single encore ”Valerie” after spitting towards the crowd and whacking her head repeatedly with her microphone? disturbing performance!”

Another wrote: “Some people may buy into her princess attitude and see it as adding value to her shows, but for me her performance was lame and I just wanted to get up there and give her a good slap.”

While a third continued: “The encore (which she instigated by saying to her band ’f**k it, lets just do Valerie’) consisted of only one song. Add to this no audience interaction, a complete lack of interest in what she was singing and a bizarre 10 minute introduction to her band, this gig left me wanting my money back.”
