The White Stripes Play One Note Gig

The White Stripes have performed arguably the shortest set ever – at just one note long.

The ‘gig’ in St John’s, Newfoundland in Canada consisted of the duo playing a C-Sharp then walking off stage.

Despite being pre-advertised as a one note gig, hundreds of fans turned up to witness the spectacle. Jack proclaimed upon finishing the blistering set: "We've now officially played in every province and territory in Canada."

It follows a series of bizarre shows the twosome have played in the country, including from a bridge in Winnipeg, a bowling land and a class room. While in the UK last month, they famously played a show to the Chelsea Pensioners.
