Motley Crue bassist, Nikki Sixx has been talking candidly about his former addiction to heroin.
Sixx was speaking at a press conference to promote his new book, ‘Heroin Diaries’ – which feature extracts from Sixx’s 1987 tour diaries, when Motley Crue were at their pinnacle.
As well as his own words, the book also features contributions from Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash and Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, reports NME.
Sixx said of the contributors: "I felt the book wasn't complete without other people's perspectives and opinions on what I was like as an addict, they would tell me if I was full of shit."
‘Heroin Diaries’ will also include a soundtrack – released on August 21st – which is meant to be played alongside the books key chapters.
Sixx previewed the soundtracks songs at the press conference with his new band, Six:AM, as well as the video for their first single, ‘Life Is Beautiful.’
