Cold War Kids and John Vanderslice are amongst the acts who have contributed track to an ‘OK Computer’ covers compilation.
‘OKX’ celebrates the tenth anniversary of the Radiohead masterpiece and sees twelve different acts cover every song on the album – yes, including ‘Fitter Happier’.
Amongst the ‘highlights’ are The Twilight Sad covering ‘Climbing Up The Walls’ and Vanderslice’s take on ‘Karma Police.’ Unfortunately though, most of the tracks are turgid and not a patch on the originals (including Cold War Kids' cringe-worthy effort).
You can hear every track now for a limited period on Stereogum.com here. Tell us what you think of the covers on our poll at the bottom.
The full track-listing is as follows:
1. Doveman 'Airbag'
2. Slaraffenland 'Paranoid Android'
3. Mobius Band 'Subterranean Homesick Alien'
4. Vampire Weekend 'Exit Music (For a Film)'
5. David Bazan's Black Cloud 'Let Down'
6. John Vanderslice 'Karma Police'
7. Samson Dalonoga feat. The Found Sound Orchestra 'Fitter Happier'
8. Cold War Kids 'Electioneering'
9. The Twilight Sad 'Climbing Up the Walls'
10. Marissa Nadler feat. Black Hole Infinity 'No Surprises'
11. My Brightest Diamond 'Lucky'
12. Flash Hawk Parlor Ensemble 'The Tourist'
