Mexicolas could most easily come under the list of ‘next big things’, with an attitude remarkably similar to Biffy Clyro and the Foo Fighters, yet with originality lying beneath the surface, people have every reason to be excited. ‘Shame’ puts an attractive thought into your head of seeing the band perform live, creating feedback and enthusing mosh pits. A unique quality is easily found - the knack for fixating the listener within the first spin. A weakness is the ability to make the listener ill with boredom after the 50th listen, but at least it you’ll be able to remember adoring it. Maybe the inevitable album won’t contain the same qualities as this song, but ‘Shame’ will certainly get people interested.
