Northamptonshire
August 4th-9th, 2010
Tickets: £79 for the weekend
Shambala prides itself on being the ‘festival goer’s festival’. Set in the stunning ornamental lakes, mature woodland and landscaped gardens of Northamptonshire, it’s truly a unique experience.
Across its various stages, musically it offers a wide spectrum of different sounds, from ska to gypsy, funk to flamenco, soul, acoustic, as well as sets from cutting-edge electronic acts. But unlike the major festivals, you won’t know exactly what’s on until you get there.
Where it really excels, is in all the crazy antics on site. Amongst the highlights are World Gurning Champion Tommy Matisson hosting a medieval sports day, Jive and Swing classes and the Festival of Freaks fancy dress party.
