Blondie Give Songs To West End Musical

A number of Blondie’s hits are set to appear in a new West End production of ‘Desperately Seeking Susan.’

The musical rendition of the film – which famously featured Madonna as ‘Susan’ in her first major film role in 1985 – will open at London’s Novello Theatre on October 12th.

According to Associated Press, as well as including Blondie’s ‘Heart Of Glass,’ ‘The Tide Is High’ and ‘One Way Or Another,’ the play will also feature a new song, 'Moment Of Truth,' written by Blondie star Debbie Harry.

Speaking about the production, Harry said that she hoped it would end up on America’s Broadway theatre district.

She added: "It's a live show so it is going to be different to the film, probably more lighthearted," she said.
