Snow Patrol’s Tom Simpson will appear in court on drugs charges on July 31st.
It’s alleged that Simpson and a friend were found in possession of cocaine in Glasgow in June 2006.
The keyboard player was arrested last weekend following the band’s performance at Live Earth after police issued a warrant for his arrest because he’d missed a previous court hearing.
The arrest – at RAF Northholt in Middlesex – caused Simpson to miss Snow Patrol’s performance at Oxygen in Dublin. He was able to attend the band’s headlining slot at T in the Park on Sunday (July 8th), however.
The keyboard player was not in attendance at the short hearing regarding the charges at Glasgow’s Sheriff Court yesterday.
