Rammstein guitarist Richard Kruspe has revealed the details behind his new side project.
Operating under the name of Emigrate, Kruspe has been working on the new material at Denmark’s Puk Studios with the producer Jacob Hellner - who has worked on much of Rammstein’s own material.
Although Kruspe has written and composed most of the songs, he’s denied that the project is a solo album. He said: "I hate solo albums! Besides, for me this is bigger than just a solo album. It's a new start..."
The material has been recorded alongside a number of musicians, including, Frenchman Arnaud Giraux and German Sascha Moser.
Kruspe plans to release the outfit’s self-titled debut album, ‘Emigrate’ on September 3rd.
At the moment, it’s not known whether Emigrate will make any live performances, although, Kruspe has confirmed that he’s still very much a part of Rammstein.
