Those crazy Swedes. To promote 'Life in the Beach', Envelopes built an actual beach in the middle of Stockholm using 1.5 tonnes of sand, presumably glad all the while that they hadn't decided to cover Slayer's 'Raining Blood' instead. While giving no real indication as to what they're on about, 'Life On The Beach' is spectacularly skewed pop which sounds like someone trying to learn the riff from a Talking Heads song while their mates make strange noises over the top. B-side 'Calypso' meanwhile sees Audrey telling us she "doesn't want to go to school tomorrow" and occasionally breaking into French, while one of her bandmates plays a swanee whistle solo. Suspend reality and enjoy.
