    Johnny Borrell Doubles Razorlight's Fee

Johnny Borrell is a man who knows his own worth – he’s secured a 100-per-cent pay rise for Razorlight’s festival appearances.

Borrell – who helped save the world again by playing Live Earth yesterday – demanded double the money to headline the Reading and Leeds festival this summer after discovering Razorlight were the only natives topping the bill.

He boasts, “We're the only British band headlining. I said, 'How much money are they going to pay us? Whatever it is, double it.’

“I think that's ****ing great because you can't fluke that. I'm no idiot, I was ****ing thrilled."

    • If you read the original article that this story is taken from in this week’s NME then you’ll realise that Borrell actually adds that this as a joke. Therefore this is not news, but just you trying to make a story out of nothing!
