Madonna has confirmed this morning (July 6th) that Gogol Bordello will join her on stage for this weekends Live Earth concert at Wembley Stadium.
Following much speculation, the gypsy punk band will now definitely appear on stage at the Wembley event on July 7th.
As Gigwise reported earlier in the week, Gogol Bordello cancelled their scheduled appearance at this weekend’s T in the Park in Scotland at the last minute without explanation.
In a statement the band have expressed their disappointement at having to cancel: “Due to timings of their performance at T In The Park, and recent events, it was not possible to do both in one day, as a result Gogol Bordello have had to cancel their set at T In The Park, and apologise to their Scottish fans. With one member of Gogol Bordello, Elizabeth Sun, hailing from Scotland, they value their support. "
It’s understood that the band are trying to schedule new Scottish dates to make up for their cancellation.
