Former Fugees singer Lauryn Hill has left fans in the US unhappy after a string of disappointing live shows.
It’s reported that her performance at a gig in Oakland recently caused 100 fans to leave early after she arrived late and went on to perform lacklustre renditions of her solo hits, reports MTV.
This is not the first time the r n’ b singer has disappointed fans, Hill was three hours late for a performance at London’s Coliseum in 2005, claiming that she had “a great deal of difficulty deciding what to wear - it's a woman thing."
Meanwhile, Hill is about to embark on a UK tour – which gets underway in London on Sunday (July 8th).
The dates are:
London, Hammersmith Apollo – July 8
Birmingham, Academy – 9
Manchester, Apollo - 10

- What the hell is wrong wiith Lauren Hill?
1 great solo album about 10 years ago and then nothing. Didn’t I hear about a Fugees reunion too?

- I saw Lauryn Hill in London last night and am sorry to say I agree with the fans who left her US concert early. I was completely disappointed. Her croaky shouting could barely be heard over the band - disappointing when the audience came to hear her beautiful, soulful voice and inspiring lyrics. While I think it is always impolite to boo a performer, I couldn’t really blame those around me who started to make their anger known. £37.50 is a lot of money to spend on a show you leave ea

- I was at her most recent show in Hammersmith and it was absolutely AWFUL! Her microphone wasn’t even switched on when she first came out, she could not hold any long notes as her voice was completely out of shape so instead the band played really loud to drown her out and she was just jumping around the stage and shouting and screaming at the audience. She started with her ”new” songs which no-one had ever heard and as far as I could tell no one liked.

- She was being booed after about 20-30mins and I would say after about 45 mins people were leaving en masse. I think she noticed how many of the people seated in the Circle had and were still leaving and began to sing acappella for one song, although she said beforehand ”I usually wouldn’t even try to sing a song like this with my voice in this kind of condition but I will anyway because i want to”. The fact that SHE KNEW her voice was in no kind of condition to perform is what

- I went to the Hammersmith Apollo gig and what is wrong with the woman? Voice has gone, the band was bad and she comes in late and doesn’t perform many people weren’t happy and hundreds left wanting refunds. If you have tickets for any of her shows get rid of as soon as you can.
