    Rufus Wainwright Slams 'Formulaic' Beyonce

Rufus Wainwright has blasted modern pop music – with Beyonce Knowles bearing the brunt of his ire.

The singer-songwriter says he fears for the kids who are being “force-fed” pop music by numbers, something that he accuses Beyonce of exemplifying.

He rallies, “I'm really sick of Beyonce. All of her songs are formulaic and produced in a way that's utterly mesmerising in the basest way.

"There's no enlightenment. Like most mainstream pop these days, it's more of a scientific experiment than an artistic experience.

"I'm scared of what young people are being force-fed. I'm sick of trash culture."

Bootylicious is a work of genius though, isn't it?

    • Regardless of whether this is true or not each artist makes their own kind of music. Obviously the people are not complaining because Beyonce is one of the most popular artists out right now. He is attacking someone more popular than him because he needs publicity. Moral of the story: Opinions are like assholes everyone has them and Rufus is no exception. Keep on singing Beyonce.
