The Enemy - ‘Had Enough’

'Had Enough’ is one of those songs that's hard to fault. A stomping beat kicks things off and riffs that build climaxing with vocals spat out like a mouthful of glass and explode perfectly into a hook -laden chorus that makes for a great chant (“Hey, Hey what’s the matter with your face, face?�). The Enemy are a band that does tight songs and succinct lyrics that are anything but saccharine brilliantly with a fresh ballsy edge that punches across their passion. And for all those pretentious music lovers who say it’s easily referenced to others like mod sounds of The Jam or The Clash’s jangly guitars this song says ‘Give a Fuck?’ because it’s talented young lads ‘aving it rock n’ roll style and enjoying every second of it as much as their fans are.

With a sound of this calibre, The Enemy are going to rise far and fast this year and without a doubt their forthcoming album is going to be a damn fine debut.
