The White Stripes have topped the UK charts with their latest album, ‘Icky Thump.’
In a quiet week in the album charts, the band – who launched a massive promotional push for the release – held of competition that included the Travelling Wilburys Collection and Bon Jovi’s album, ‘Lost Highway.’
Meanwhile, in the singles charts, Rhianna maintained her stronghold on the number one spot with ‘Umbrella,’ while The White Stripes’ single, ‘Icky Thump,’ dropped to number six and Editor’s, ‘Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors’ charted at number seven.
This week sees notable releases from The Horrors with ‘She Is The New Thing’ and The Enemy, with their latest single, ‘Had Enough.’
