The Rumble Strips played the smallest gig at Glastonbury this weekend.
The Dexys Midnight Runners-alikes played to just two people in a tent, in conjunction with a competition with mobile network Orange.
The five band members clamoured into the tent and struggled for space with their saxophones and acoustic instruments. The competition winners – who also won entry to the festival itself through the prize – were treated to a three song set including ‘Oh Creole.’
Band frontman Charlie said to Gigwise afterwards: “I feel honoured to have played the gig, it was very comfortable and nice not to have to plug in.
“It’s nice to be able to see proper fear in the fans’ eyes upfront.”
