The Rumble Strips Are Busiest Band At Glasto

The Rumble Strips are officially the busiest band at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.

As previously reported, the Dexys Midnight Runners-alikes are playing the most intimate show of the festival – to just two fans in a tent. This will be taking place at 2pm on Saturday.

On top of this, they’ll be playing three other shows – on the Guardian Stage at 3pm today, the Queen’s Head at 8.30pm tomorrow and the coveted John Peel stage at 3.45pm on Sunday.

Trumpeter Charlie Clark says the band were inspired by a friend who played three gigs in 2005.

He said: “A mate of mine is in three different bands. He played three gigs with each of them last year at Glastonbury. By the end he was a shell of a man.”

Wellies are the order of the day at Glastonbury (what’s new) and Gigwise has got a shiny new pair, so check them out in our blog, here
