Genre invention isn’t exactly a new thing. When Nirvana burst onto the scene, suits were quick to brand them ‘grunge’ so they could sell grunge identikits in every Wal-Mart this side of Texas. So when Klaxons came along, full of bleeps and ambition, nobody knew where to look. New rave you say? Rather than carrying the “leading lights” tag around like a bag of bricks, Klaxons simply turn out this brilliant slice of pop genius. ‘It’s Not Over Yet’ takes the band storming out of the blocks and into the summer. This is how you should have done it, Grace.

    Released 25/06/07 on Polydor Records.

    • The Klaxons do something which few bands ever think about - covering a dance track; Its a nice cover, keeping some of the tune intact and with a good vocal performance.

    • The Grace version pisses on this track. By far Klaxons’ worst track, clunky and strangulated. Every other track on the album is preferable.

    • This track is an insult to music in general! It has destroyed a classic dance track and replaced it with nothing more than a distorted noise that is so far away from being classed as music they might as well have sampled a chain saw for 3 minutes. In conclusion, I would rather cut off one of my own balls than listen to this track.
