The Smashing Pumpkins To Make First Television Appearance Since 2000

The Smashing Pumpkins will make their first television appearance in seven years next month performing songs from their new album on The Late Show with David Letterman.

The band will play the show twice on one week, first up on July 9 and then on Jul 13, to herald the release of ‘Zeitgeist’ which is out the same week.

Having just finished their European tour the Smashing Pumkins have a busy summer ahead of them including several major festival appearances.

They include the Carling Reading & Leeds festival and the American version of the V Festival.

Before then they will play extensive residencies at the Fillmore in San Francisco and the Orange Peel in Asheville.

They will also be performing at the US leg of the Live Earth event at the Giants Stadium in New Jersey.
