In a case scheduled to go to trial this week, Jacko claims his current money troubles were caused by money-grabbing friends and family, and not by his own outlandish spending or money mismanagement.
In a sworn deposition, the (onetime) King of Pop alleges that Don Stabler, a close associate of his brother Randy, attempted to get him to sign a deal that would see him lose a large part of his fortune.
Jackson recalls their response when he refused: "I vehemently told them, 'No, I am not signing this.' And I just remember how angry, the intensity of the anger in the room. And so they marched out."
He also makes this astute assessment of the music industry in transcripts obtained by NY Daily News:
"It's full of sharks, charlatans and impostors. Because there's a lot of money involved, there's a bunch of schmucks in there."
Perhaps not so wacko after all.
