Bob Marley and Bob Dylan are both in the top ten of a poll of young people in Britain’s heroes in the art world.
The survey, commissioned by the Arts Award, asked 6,000 18 to 25-year-olds to vote for who they thought was the most inspirational figure in the arts world past and present.
Marley and Dylan (who entered at 5 and 7 respectively) were the sole representatives in the music world, in a poll that spanned art, television and film.
Walt Disney came in at the top spot, closely followed by Peter Kay and much-lauded artist Banksy came in at third. The legend that is Leonardo da Vinci was fourth.
