All voting has now stopped. Thanks to all who voted! Winners will be announced on the night. Details below....
The third annual Gigwise Awards will be making its return to the Masque Theatre in Liverpool this December in what is bound to be the biggest musical celebration in the city for hundreds of years.
The Barfly venue will play host to a star studded night on Saturday December the 18th. The Awards are voted for by you, the good people of the Internet. There won’t be a hanging chad in site, although the election of George W Bush may well rear its ugly head, as speculation mounts over whether he can win Twat of the Year for the third year running.
This year we again have the pleasure of announcing that the Best Unsigned Band category will be sponsored by Carlsbro the amp maker, whose director John Roberts said they "were proud to be supporting musicians of the future." The winners will recieve £500 worth of Carlsbro goodies which they can choose themselves.
At last year’s bash we brought you three great bands live on stage as well as comedy from Gigwise’s favourite poetic gobshite Glen Patterson. Glen will be joining us again this year with Neils Children, A Cult Called Karrianna and Thee Unstrung taking to the stage.
