Saturday 28th July - Sunday 29th July 2007
Escot Park, Devon
Saturday £32.50, Sunday £27.50
Launched in 2007, Escot Sounds aims to provide Festivalgoers with a completely different festival experience.
Set in the Capability Brown designed Escot Park, in Devon – which features a natural amphitheatre set amongst 200 acres of parkland – over the two days the festival provides visitors with open air musical spectaculars.
The festival has been created thanks to the partnership between London events company Big Wheel and local promoter DMF with the goal of creating a festival that will provide great live music but also help out rural Devon. Food and alcohol, for example, is provided by local suppliers and a percentage of profits are donated to local charity, The Tale Valley Trust, which restores traditional farming methods in the area.
With one main band headlining on either night, a host of support bands, champagne and picnic hampers, could there be a better festival to go to?
