Kylie Minogue is set to be the first ever female artist to receive the Music Industry Trusts Award, in recognition of her 20 year career as a pop star.
The awards committee called the star “one of the great entertainers of all time” and “an icon of pop and style”.
Her debut single I Should Be So Lucky, topped the charts way back in 1987.
At 38 she’s practically the oldest songstress on the block, yet she’s still going strong.
She’s currently working on her 10th studio album and also plans to release White Diamonds, a documentary covering her comeback after battling cancer which will be released later this year.
