Keane Make Impassioned Festival Return

Keane returned to the UK festival fold yesterday (June 10th) as the band played in advance of the Rolling Stones at the Isle Of Wight festival.

The band were in a buoyant mood throughout the performance, with the group’s lead singer Tom Chaplin leaving the audience in no doubt that his problems with addiction are now under control.

The singer bounded around the stage relentlessly during the show, running into the audience on a giant platform which lead from the stage so that he could conduct the 65,000 people in a attendance.

The band bellowed out hits from both their albums, although, the best reactions were saved for the usual choral crowd favourites, ‘Everybody’s Changing,’ ‘Bedshaped,’ and ‘Crystal Ball.’

Chaplin – who was visibily overcome at points – also declared ‘A Bad Dream’ his favourite Keane song before his band launched into it.

After an energetic set, the band looked reluctant to leave the Seaclose Park festival site, whilst Chaplin praised the audience for their support and for “turning out to see us.”
