Groove Armada played one of the standout performances at the first night of the Isle Of Wight Festival last night (June 8th).
While the bands show included a numbers of songs from their new album, ‘Soundboy Rock,’ it was the dance acts more established songs that really captivated the crowd.
The group had the crowd going wild for classic tracks, ‘Superstylin’,’ ‘I See You Baby’ and ‘Easy’
As the sun set, chillout classic, ‘At The River,’ provided an almost White Isle, as opposed to, Isle of Wight moment.
Before Groove Armada, The Feeling provided the Festival’s younger visitors with a barrage of their chart hits. ‘Fill My Little World,’ ‘Rose,’ and ‘I Love It When You Call,’ all got the crowd singing.
The band – who are currently in the studio – also pleased those in attendance with a new song. ‘Join With Us,’ which featured the lyrics, “The world isn’t in your hands,” was reminiscent of their first album sound.
The Isle Of Wight Festival continues today, with performances from Muse, Kasabian and Wolfmother. Stay tuned to Gigwise for more of the action.
