The White Stripes have taken a leaf out of Paul McCartney’s book by announcing a “intimate” one-off gig in London – expect they’ve given us a whole week’s notice.
The two-piece will play next Tuesday in the “intimate and incredible setting” of the Rivoli Ballroom in Lewisham, with tickets going on sale the day before, Monday 11 June.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Chelsea Pensioners' Appeal and The London Pearly Kings and Queens Society, after Meg and Jack dressed up in full Pearly regalia for the front cover of their new album ‘Icky Thump’.
'Icky Thump' is released on June 18.
