Courtney Love yesterday pleaded innocent to charges of assault with a deadly weapon.The charges stem from an incident that occurred in April when it is alleged that Love threw a whiskey bottle at a woman who Love found sleeping at the home of her ex-boyfriend in LA.
The singer’s lawyer Howard Weitzman said last month that his client had been “grossly overcharged”. Love is free on a bail of $150,000 pending trial.
Love pleaded guilty to a misdemeanour count of being under the influence of cocaine and was sentenced to a drug treatment programme. Love is currently awaiting trial on two other drug charges.
