The fan who was manhandled by US rapper Akon and then thrown into the crowd has come forward to police over the incident.
As previously reported, Akon took actions into his own hands at a recent performance at K Fest when an object was thrown at him. After getting security guards to bring the fan to the stage Akon then picked him up and threw him back into the crowd.
It now looks likely that Akon will face criminal charges over the incident after the fan – who has yet to be named – spoke to police about the incident.
The Dutchess County District Attorney's Office and the Fishkill Police Department have both met since the fan came forward to discuss what will happen to the rapper.
A source at Fishkill Police Department has revealed to mediatakeout.com that they are not ruling out the possibility of an attempted murder charge.
The incident comes weeks after the rapper courted controversy for performing a provocative act with an underage girl at a show in April.
