Gallows Bring Havoc To London Boat Party

The mighty Gallows brought havoc to a small boat anchored on the River Thames at their album launch party last night (June 5).

The Hertfordshire fivesome were celebrating the re-release of their album ‘Orchestra of Wolves’ next Monday (June 11) and treated the media types and fans gathered at The Yacht Club to some carnage.

After some ear-piercing sound problems, the band kick-started the set aptly with ‘Abandon Ship’, which saw tattooed frontman Frank Carter hauled into the rammed crowd.

Carter was in typical expletive wielding form, asking the audience to dedicate songs to any “****ing ****s” they know, amongst other such pleasantries.

Unfortunately, the roof of the boat was too low for him to perform his usual crowd-surfing antics. But this did little to lessen the crowd’s mood, with several stage invasions kicking off throughout the set – most notably on ‘Just Because You Sleep Next To Me Doesn’t Mean You Are Safe.’

Thankfully, Gallows super-fan, Preston from the Ordinary Boys, was nowhere to be seen.

The band continue their UK tour with a show at London’s Barfly tonight, before moving to Birmingham tomorrow. They also take in the Download Festival this weekend.

Last night, they played the following tracks:

    Abandon Ship
    Nervous Breakdown
In The Belly Of The Shark
    Sick Of Feeling Sick
    Come Friendly Bombs
Just Because You Sleep Next To Me Doesn’t Mean You Are Safe
    Orchestra Of Wolves

    • ****ing awesome gig, the owners of the boat must be regretting the decision to hold it there - the roof was splitting by the end!

    • Just normal punk rock. There’s been scenes like this for years in England and way more violent gigs that aren’t full of NME ****s.
