Believe it or not Chris Moyles was upstaged yesterday as he hosted Elton John on his Radio 1 breakfast show.
Early Monday morning would seem the perfect time for a little swearing; well it is if you are Elton John, Bitch extraordinaire.
The 57 year old singer started his rant as soon as he arrived in the studio. "I haven't been to the BBC for so long I almost went to the other building," he said according to today’s Guardian newspaper.
"But I saw Tony Blackburn on a walking stick and I thought: 'No, it's the wrong ****ing place.'" He then joked: "I'm not live on air, am I?"
Moyles then told his big wig guest: "Yes, we're live. I apologise to the young boys and girls. But it is Elton John."
The apology from Moyles to the nation only seemed to egg on Elton, who then asked whether the words "wank", "tits", "bugger" and "bollocks" were allowed to be said on air.
"I'm sorry, I have this weird syndrome approaching 10am," he said. "Can I please say bugger next week?" Moyles apologised again, before adding: "Thanks everyone, you're listening to my last show on radio."
A Radio 1 spokesman said yesterday: "It's a live show and Elton was warned several times about swearing. We are sorry if he offended anyone."
So is Elton just a bitch who doesn’t like Chris Moyles and is trying to destroy his crappy show or is he suffering from a mild case of Tourettes syndrome…?
