The Creamfields Festival, which takes place on 25th-26th August, has been granted a licence.
This year’s event– which once again takes place on the Daresbury Estate, in Cheshire - faced just nine objections when the licence was reviewed by the Regulatory Committee of Halton Borough Council last Friday (June 1st).
The festivals chief executive James Barton praised the successful staging of last years event for helping to get this years licence. Last year Creamfields faced over four hundred objections.
In a statement Barton said: “Last year we demonstrated our considerable expertise at managing a major show like this. Moving the whole event to a new site was a significant achievement and we carried it out successfully thanks to the excellence of our operational team.”
2007’s festival will see performances from the Chemical Brothers, Groove Armada, New Young Pony Club and Simian Mobile Disco.
