Michael Jackson has acquired a stake in Eminem’s expansive back catalogue.
The deal – which has seen Jackson obtain Famous Music LLC from Viacom – means that Jackson now has the rights to Eminem’s songs, including, ‘The Real Slim Shady’ and ‘Without Me.’
Jackson has also got the rights to material by Bjork, Shikira and Beck thanks to the deal, according to the NME.
In a statement the star said: “This is a milestone event for Sony/ATV Music Publishing. The diverse collection of songs in this catalogue range from timeless classics to contemporary hits, and I am pleased to add the acquisition of Famous Music to Sony/ ATV."
The financially troubled singer already owns the rights to The Beatles copyright.
