Dizzee gets dirty on his return to the hip hop arena with ‘Sirens’, a two-part tale split between the buzz of the hunter and the terror of the hunted. The production mirrors the dual emotions of the rhymes, with the monstrous beats taking a dark turn halfway through with the inclusion of some metallic guitar riffs. It’s a change in approach from Dizzee Rascal and, while the half-and-half backing sounds a little incomplete, the growl of ‘Sirens’ suggests only good things are to be expected from the forthcoming ‘Maths and English’ LP.
