A Video of a young Pete Doherty queuing for the release of Oasis’, ‘Be Here Now’ album in 1997 has surfaced on the internet.
In the interview, which was carried out by the then MTV presenter Eddy Temple-Morris, Doherty describes what Oasis mean to him by quoting a reference from an Italian Philosopher.
The Babyshambles front man says: “Yeah, well, I subscribe to the Umberto Eco view that Noel is a Poet and Liam is a town crier.”
Believed to be about seventeen in the video, when asked to describe what one word best sums up the Manchester band, Doherty’s replied: “Trousers!”
