REM are to begin work on their new album next week in Canada they have announced.
As previously reported on Gigwise the album will be produced by Jacknife Lee who has also worked with U2, Snow Patrol and Kasabian.
The band will head to Vancouver for the first of recording sessions before decamping to Ireland for the rest of the work on the record.
While in Ireland they will also play five dates billed as “working rehearsals” at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre where they will showcase new material
They will take place on June30, July 1, 3, 4 and 5.
