Rhythm and Blues legend Bo Diddley is in intensive care after suffering a stroke shortly after a show in Iowa.
The singer-songwriter is in a “guarded” condition according to doctors at a hospital in Omaha, Nebraska where he is currently being treated.
He suffered the stroke following his performance in Council Bluffs and was said to be acting disorientated by witnesses according to the Associated Press.
Doctors say test have indicated that the stroke has affected the left hand side of his brain, impairing his speech and speech recognition.
It is not known how long he will have to stay in intensive care, in recent years he has suffered from diabetes and hypertension.
